Hello Everett Rowing Team!
Here are a few updated items in preparation for this weekend's racing at Tail of the Lake.
You will find a regatta schedule
, and an equipment schedule attached. There is also a general informational document (not updated).
We are expecting winds from the South to increase from 2-3 MPH in the first flight to 7-9 MPH in the third flight. At this point, the regatta is not in danger of cancellation or delay. If the conditions deteriorate sufficiently, the third flight may be cancelled. Announcements about cancellations or delays will be made at Seattle Rowing Center, where our trailer is located.
Equipment: All athletes should be mindful of shared equipment. Please return to the dock quickly so the next crew has an approriate warm-up. Please also pay close attention to oar usage.
Dock Time: Please be sure to be quick with launching and recovery. There will be many athletes who need to use the dock.
Watching the race: Many spectators move from the launch site to Gasworks park to watch the rest of the racing.
Parking: Please pay careful attention to the notes in the attachment. The launch site will be crowded with 6 crews staging from this location. Our hosts have good relationships with their neighbors, and request that we abide by their instructions.
There is a great deal of additional parking available on W Ewing Street to the west (accessed off 13th West) and West Ewing Street to the east (accessed off 11th West).
Masters Athletes: While the attached document has many details pertinent to the youth team, many of the details are common. Masters arrival time is at the discretion of your coach.
Youth Novice Uniforms: The varsity athletes will be bringing tank tops for you to borrow for your race.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: USRowing Electronic Waivers: Arenibas, Blanch, Kohorst, McCartney, Moore, Neumann, Parks, Richards, Swissa all need to complete their USRowing Electronic Waivers by 8:00 AM Saturday, or we cannot pick up our entry packet. Thank you for your attention to this!
Thank you all, and good luck this weekend!
