Youth Financial Aid
At ERA, we believe any young person who wants to row should have the opportunity to do so, regardless of background or economic circumstances.
Everett Rowing Association is committed to making our program accessible to all youth in Snohomish County. Through the generous contributions of our community, we offer financial aid to athletes who wouldn’t have the opportunity to row otherwise.
In addition to making the sport accessible for all young people, we strive to create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all our athletes. We realize it’s not enough to just open the doors, we need to create an environment where every athlete feels valued and empowered to succeed.
To make all this possible, we have partnered with the George Pocock Rowing Foundation to administer our need-based financial aid so that all young people can row.
Everett Rowing Association Values
Community
At ERA, we believe that having athletes from all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences enables ERA to better meet our mission and serve our community. We strive to foster a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment for all of its youth athletes and believe that our Financial Aid program helps us do just that!
Stewardship
ERA maintains a strong focus on caring for our waterways, equipment, and most importantly, our athletes. We have a strong legacy of not turning any rower away due to cost and we maintain an Endowment Fund that fuels our Financial Aid program. This long-term investment has allowed our organization to thrive and grow for over 40 years.
Personal Development
ERA is dedicated to maximizing each athlete’s potential and helping them grow to be impactful members of their community. We believe that through continuous learning we can help youth develop confidence, courage, and self-knowledge that enables lifelong success both at ERA and beyond!
